Orcas Island Getaway are dog-friendly properties*, but there are a few items we want to share in order to help you have a great stay, and help set the right expectations. We have dogs too, so we understand the importance of bringing them on trips - for most dog owners, they're an important part of the family.
Below, we have a few categories that you might find helpful during your stay with your dog(s) at Orcas Island Getaway. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
* Guests wishing to bring a dog must have prior approval.
* Pet fee: $80 for up to 2 dogs during your stay
- Dogs must be at least 1 yr old
- Dogs must be spayed or neutered & up-to-date on flea control + vaccinations

OFF LEASH DOG PARK INFO
There's an off-leash dog park just outside of town, located next to Buck Park on Mt. Baker Road.

WE ASK THIS OF YOU:
COVER FURNISHINGS
Sofa Covers are found in the Wood Chest in the Living Room @ Bracken Fern and in the entryway closets @ Rosario & Rosario Sea Views
Look for the basket labeled "For the Dogs" for additional towels and coverings, which are especially helpful during the wetter seasons.
DO NOT LEAVE DOGS UNATTENDED IN THE HOME UNLESS IN A KENNEL/CRATE
Ask us about quality pet care during your stay, we have recommendations that could be hired.
WE REQUIRE THIS OF YOU:
PICK UP WASTE
You must pick up and properly dispose of all waste from your dogs on the property.
Back up Doggie-doo bags are often located in a drawer, but please bring your personal supply.
UNDERSTANDING NOISE ORDINANCE
Barking/Loud Dogs: We're in a residential neighborhood. There are ordinances on noise (both people and pets) so please be aware if you have a dog that barks excessively.
IMPORTANT NOTE: CLEANING
Our goal is to deliver a 5-star experience for each guest staying with us. Since there are only a few hours between departing and arriving guests, we need your help in making sure we can meet that goal. If you have dog(s) with you during your stay, please:
Properly wash and dry sofa covers and bed covers used by pets
Properly wash and dry pet dishes used
Clean up after shedding dogs (vacuum can be found in closet if you'd like)
Ensure all pet waste is picked up and disposed of properly
Additional cleaning needed due to pets could result in additional cleaning fees. Completing the above will help in avoiding additional fees, and will help our next guest begin their stay on-time.
