“We could not have asked for a better house during our stay on Orcas Island. I realize it's probably on the higher price side, but it's worth it. The house is exactly as advertised and it was spotless. Todd and Lori were impeccable hosts - they provided a thoughtful and thorough guide to the ins and outs of the house, as well as the surrounding area. They also communicated very quickly. Also, the location was prime - within walking distance of Moran State Park and only a 15 minute drive into Eastsound. There isn't much cell phone service at the house (what a bonus!!!), so I would coordinate plans before you head out there. We would love to stay there again!!!”

“I almost don't want to share how amazing our experience was at Todd & Lori's house because we want it to be available every time we want to visit! Without even discussing the incredible house, the awesome furniture, the killer amenities, or any of the other normal things, let's talk about Todd & Lori--they put together the most amazing welcome website, plus a fantastic binder filled with tips and information and user guides for all the different amenities in their house (like the espresso machine, hot tub, bluetooth speakers, sound bar for the tv, and everything else you can imagine) and reached out to us to see about our arrival time and responded to my couple of emails practically instantly. They also put together some really great personal touches that I never would have dreamed would be included--like external batteries to take on hikes so your phone doesn't die, and portable speakers to have on the deck, touch lamps on the bedside tables, and special towels just to wrap your hair in after a shower (don't even get me started on the SUPER soft sheets, great kitchenware, and swoon-worthy furniture). We felt like every new thing we found just made us feel that much more pampered. We were so sad when our weekend was over, and we can't wait to go back. OH! As a tip--if it's a clear night, be sure to turn off all the lights and hop in the hot tub--you can star gaze for hours and you'll definitely see some shooting stars.”

“This was my first Airbnb experience and we had a sisters retreat here. I have to say from the very beginning to the end Todd and Lori were very attentive to everything. The communication was awesome throughout the whole stay if we had any questions. The house and amenities deserve more than 5 stars, in our opinion. The house was super clean and very beautiful. It is very close to Rosario Resort, which was nice for dinner and the spa. It was really nice to be able to cook at the house also. I have to say the BIG hits were the hot tub and the espresso machine! Also the ping pong/pool tables, which we had a great time playing. We really enjoyed the visits from the deer in the morning and evening. We shopped in town and ate at the Madrona Bar and Grill, also did some hiking at Cascade Falls. "If I could give this home 10 stars I would. Todd and Lori are excellent hosts. My family of 6 adults and 1 toddler stayed here over Labor Day weekend. Their home exceeded my family and my expectations at every turn:
Space: GORGEOUS modern PNW home. It is brand new and has beautiful finishes and furniture. The beds are all king size and are super comfortable (they are memory foam beds). Each bed has at least four pillows for your comfort. They also provided a pack n play and sheet for babies - super helpful as we were traveling with our 1 year old daughter and needed the crib. The hot tub, deck and pool /ping pong table are awesome. We spent a late night having a billiards tournament and really enjoyed that we were able to do that and spend time in the space. Orcas Island has many things to do during the day (hiking, shopping, boating, etc.), and it was nice to be able to come back to a home that also was entertaining well into the evening. It was just perfect for family time. The house itself has peekaboo views to the water from the deck and the trees give you the sense that you are staying in a tree house, which we loved. It's also so quiet and you will most likely be visited by the deer that live in the woods during your stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. We cooked all our meals at the house and didn't want for anything - including claw crackers for the crab we cooked! The pots, pans, dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils are well stocked and of high quality. Even my dad, who is an avid cook and can be a tough customer, commented on how he loved what the house had to offer.
Other nice touches: Complimentary back pack to use during your stay, soaps and toiletries, condiments and spices, espresso machine and espresso beans, sound bars / blue tooth speakers - so many to name!!
Communication & Logistics: Todd and Lori were top notch with regard to check in, communication, etc. We corresponded easily when questions arose, and I appreciated their timely response. They also checked in to ensure we were having a great stay - their attention to detail is wonderful and appreciated. Thank you Todd and Lori for a wonderful stay, and we really hope to get back up to Orcas Island again soon to stay at your wonderful home!!"

"Our family of our (2 adults; 2 boys--ages 10 and 14) loved this place. First, Todd and Lori are extremely organized. They emailed to remind us to make ferry reservations, sent a link to detailed information, checked with us right after we arrived and so forth. The house was beautiful and extremely clean--it looks just like the pictures. The location was great since was only 10 minutes from town, 5 minutes from Cascade Lake (with swimming, kayaking etc) and 30 mins from the ferry. We had a lovely time in the hot tub, grilling out back and just hanging out. It was our first time on Orcas. Our only surprise was how few restaurants were open mid-week, so we got caught without a place to eat (hence the grilling!). We loved kayaking and whale watching with Orcas Island Expeditions and just have a wonderful time. I'd highly recommend this house and coming to Orcas!"

“We could not have chosen a better location to celebrate our 35th anniversary than Lori and Todd's wonderful airbnb. The home itself is lovely with all the amenities one needs for a comfortable stay- and add to that the wonderful backporch looking out into a wooded area, a fire pit and hot tub for evening relaxation, an occasional visit by a few deer and a friendly neighborhood cat that stopped by regularly to say hello. Lori and Todd communicated with us clearly and were available by text or phone if we needed anything. "This house was beautiful! New house with high end furnishings and decor. The best part was how well-stocked this house was - much better than most VRBO houses we have stayed in. They had everything you could need, and lots of nice extra touches. We forgot our baby crib, but they had one in the closet. The only real downside was the house doesn't have a view and is built into a hill, so it was difficult for kids to play outside. But, it was quiet and serene and just minutes from Moran State Park.

"This home is beautiful. The owner/host has instructions for use of everything. We really enjoyed the “sound bar” speakers, both the one mounted below the cabinets in the kitchen as well as the portable speaker, too. This was a very nice touch for our family because we love music. Every appliance is here that you could possibly need. The pool table and ping pong were both a hit with us as well. The home is about a ten minute drive to Eastsound where there are plenty of restaurant options and about 5 minutes drive from Moran State Park. Moran is a “must see” and certainly plan a drive to the top of the mountain for 360 degree views of all the surrounding islands. You will love your stay in this home."

"If you are looking for a place to stay on your trip to Orcas Island, look no further. The Orcas Island getaway Rosario property is simply too perfect for words. Situated right next to Moran State Park and just up the road from the Rosario Resort and Spa it offers the perfect balance of amenities and peace. Take a soak in the Hot Tub, Cook dinner for 7 in the spacious and fully equipped kitchen, play ping pong and pool while listening to music with the fabulous sound system, this place has everything. BUT and this is the most important thing you can know about the property. It has Todd and Lori as owners. I had stayed with them at their other property previously and was impressed by their responsiveness and attention to detail. On this trip they out did themselves, stopping in to change a smoke detector alarm battery at the drop of a hat or arranging with the local bottle shop to have a case of wine shipped for me to the islands there is no request to large or small for them. Even if the property was not as amazing as it is...and trust me the photos do not do it justice....they would be worth they price all by themselves. So what are you waiting for....book today...before I take the place for a month!!

“My husband and I stayed here for 4 days with another couple. The place was perfect for our group! It was super clean and the hosts were easy to communicate. We took advantage of al the house had to offer, including the fire pit, hot tub, espresso machine, and portable Bluetooth speaker. It was a short drive to town and to Moran a State Park. “Fabulous house on Orcas Island and you won’t regret it! Perfect house for a couples weekend or small get together. My group of five came with plans to explore the island but left wishing we spent more time relaxing on the property. For guests who love to cook, this kitchen has lots of counter space, pantry staples, and tools/appliances so be sure to grab groceries when you pass through Eastsound. Bedrooms were spacious and bathrooms were fully stocked with toiletries and extra towels. We didn’t meet the hosts during our stay but they provided detailed instructions about the property and communicated quickly.”

"My friends and I stayed here over a long weekend and we loved it. The house was very nice and clean and we really enjoyed the gas stove fireplace. We brought our dog and were delighted to find toys and treats for her, as well as a nice fenced in back porch where she could sit and a cable out front that she could use to explore the area. The kitchen also had really nice pots and pans and utensils, which was a nice addition. We had a great stay and can't wait to come back."

"This home was a great option for our family of five. Plenty of room to spread out, fun game room downstairs and the hot tub to relax. Todd was very easy to work with and the home had all the kitchen items we could need. Many rentals don't even provide enough basics in this respect and I felt like this was by far the most well stocked home I have rented. Extremely important if you don't plan to eat out every meal. The best part of this home is the proximity to Moran State Park. You can walk out the door and be on trails in less than 5 minutes. The only thing we missed with this location is being directly on the water. There was a filtered view in winter, but I imagine that would be mostly obstructed when leaves are on trees. This also limited the amount of direct sunlight. The big windows surely helped. This will definitely be an option we consider again on Orcas."

“Amazing place! The house was wonderful with awesome views. We loved every moment, from booking to checking out. Lori and Todd gave us amazing recommendations and even better hospitality. Being able to bring our pups, without sacrificing five star service, was an absolute blessing. Our dogs loved the large windows and being able to watch the scenery (sorry for the nose smudges) as well as just basking in the sun. The house came equipped with fun for humans and pups! Everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!”

“Not very often do the VRBO properties GREATLY exceed our expectations. Our long weekend getaway was perfect and more. From the minute we reserved the property through heading home it was a wonderful experience. We received quick response and clear communication. Even when I was lack to follow up. The house was clean, homey, and packed with the essentials including a hot-tub and necessary kitchen supplies. We had fun touring the island, visiting Rosarios Resort and enjoyed a few meals in town with family. The weather cooperated too. The puppies had a good relaxing time and enjoyed the toys, bedding and extra blankets. We hope to visit again soon. ”
