“This space was perfect for us. It’s great for a small family because of the two bedrooms and two baths. Hot tub and fire pit are also fun (though we didn’t take advantage). The location was very close to restaurants and shops as well as the state park. Todd and Lori were very responsive and helpful as well. Would definitely recommend.”

Constitution while you're so close and having your coffee on the porch so you can watch for deer in the yard.”

“Todd & Lori’s place is very clean and lovely! It is pretty close to Moran State Park and Cascade Lake, making hiking and Kayaking easy and convenient. Also, seeing some cute deer dropping by the backyard is definitely a perk! The hosts are friendly and respond to messages quickly. Everything is perfect except that hot water ran out suddenly when some of us was taking a shower. Just as a friendly reminder, it might not be a good idea to take a shower if the dishwasher is running at the same time. ( We figured this could be the reason after messaging the hosts) Would recommend this place to stay for your getaway trip in Orcas island!”

Perfect setup for 3 couples as all the beds were king and queens which is hard to find in a rental house. Let us not neglect the views as they are outstanding! “Orcas Island Getaway @ Rosario was amazing! Everything was sparkling clean and modern, and we loved playing pool and ping pong. The location is a 3 minute drive to Moran State Park, 10 minutes to Mount Constitution, or 10 minutes to Eastsound - pretty much ideal. Todd & Lori were extremely responsive to messages and we enjoyed the small touches they provided like a dog bed for our pooch, high quality kitchen utensils, and good hiking recommendations. Would definitely stay here again!”

The home is clean and the amenities are plentiful. In addition, the location is so convenient to Moran State park, the town of Eastsound and Rosario Resort. We spent four days enjoying hiking, playing ping pong and Pool, and warming up in the hot tub. The kitchen is also well supplied for your cooking needs. Todd and Lori were easy to contact and responded quickly. We hope to go back again for certain.”

“We had an amazing time at Todd & Lori’s place on Orcas. It was exactly as described, with sunrise views from bed and sunset views from the hot tub. We especially appreciated the kitchen amenities—appliances and basics/spices so you could truly cook at their place (which we did)! This is also a gem of an Airbnb that is actually pet friendly vs pet permissive. Our pup enjoyed his pet bed, pup bowls, and sheets so he could climb up on the bed at night. Thank you!”

“Nothing seems too far away on Orcas Island, but the Bracken Fern house is just a short drive from the business district of Eastsound, and there's a very nice little market and gas station around the corner. Because of Covid we brought all our food with us, but it was good to know that we could have easily picked up anything we needed at Island Market. The kitchen is well stocked, which makes it easy to self-cater (and the espresso machine got me going every morning)! The beds are plush and the sofas are super-comfy, which made it the perfect place to relax with a little TV streaming after dinner. Oh, and don't miss Brown Bear Bakery for a treat on your way out of town.”

“Todd and Lori did a wonderful job with accomodations. We had a little snafu with the hot tub, but other than that, our stay was incredible. The house was spectacular, and we could not have been less concerned with the cleanliness: it was immaculate. We had a fun time playing pool and ping pong, the beds were really comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked for anything we threw at it. We made some excellent meals and relaxed the entire trip. “Clearly the highlight of this home is how new, modern and clean it is. Huge deck would be a beautiful place to sit and hang (it rained most of the week for us.). The decor is subtle gray and white and all the amenities match and coordinate with the style of the home. Huge, comfortable beds and large bedrooms. Loved being able to bring our dogs. Lucy the Doodle particularly liked the doggie biscuits. The other plus of the home is the location; merely steps from Moran State Park. Know there isn’t much of a yard, but we were able to take walks with our dogs over to Crescent Lake and down to Rosario Resort.”

“I booked the house as a getaway for my husband's 40th birthday with two other couples. Todd and Lori were fantastic hosts and made sure our weekend was hassle-free. First off, the house is beautiful with all the amenities. Our favorite parts were the outdoor patio and hot tub, as well as the downstairs rec area with pool table. Second, the beds were incredibly comfortable memory foam. Slept soundly. The house is set just off the road to Rosario, which is super convenient and roughly 3 minutes from the center of Eastsound town. There was absolutely no noise or disturbance and the house is very private and secure. It was so nice to wake up in the morning, make a coffee and sit on the deck to watch the deer that frequented the property in the distance. We will definitely be back. Book with confidence. They were really excellent communicators, including sharing check-in instructions (which were clear and well-written) about a week ahead of time and an easy to access page with check-in instructions, info about amenities, and local tips. The house is clean and very cozy, and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE! We loved the hot tub, evenings hanging out on the porch and using the fire pit, and the kitchen, which was stocked with all the cooking supplies we needed. Their guide for great hikes and sunsets on Orcas was incredibly helpful and we used it to find some great spots. We would absolutely recommend Todd and Lori's place in a heartbeat!”

Open floor plan, clean, lots of amenities, great deck (for dog as well), several spots in the house to relax, hosts who know what make guests happy and are willing to work with them. As important, was the location. Some people may prefer to stay near the water. I disagree. Stay up on the hill! You are walking distance to the lake a launching pad for kayaking, hiking, walking, running, biking, and just general enjoyment. I highly recommend this house and working with these hosts. The master bed was extremely comfortable and we loved waking up to the view. We brought our dog with us and they had everything we needed, including a dog bed and food/water bowls. The first night, we had a family of 7 deer in the front yard while we drank wine, listened to the birds and watched the clouds turn to pink over the ocean. We hiked up Cold Springs trail the next day and enjoyed the weather by Cascade Lake, only a 5 minute drive away. That night, we had a delicious seafood dinner and drinks by the marina at Cascade Bay grill, just down the hill from the house. We wished we could have stayed longer but I am not surprised that the house was all booked up. Thank you Todd & Lori for the great hospitality. We are looking forward to coming back to stay in Rosario or one of your other properties on Orcas Island!”

“We booked Todd & Lori's place for a last minute get away. They were really easy to communicate with and the booking, check-in/check-out process was seamless (which we appreciated). :) It's a smaller house so I would not recommend it for more than 4 people, but the inside has a great open concept feel and the house in general is nicely furnished. The exterior of the home wasn't exactly what we were expecting, but we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and our dogs loved running around the yard. I think other reviewers mentioned this, but while the house is on a large semi secluded lot, you are still in a cul de sac with some trailers and abandoned cars nearby. There were neighbors outside almost all of the time within view of the patio at least (not the hot tub) and there is a main road down behind the house so I would not say its the most private/intimate location. However, it is in an awesome location and the house is full of just about any amenity you may need during your stay! Just want to point out the privacy thing just in case you're looking for a more remote cabin like stay (which we were not). :) All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book Todd & Lori's place again!”

They thought of pretty much everything we could possible need or want, even providing a backpack for hiking (I took mine out of my car by mistake just that morning!) They were very responsive when we had an issue with a neighbor’s dog escaping, even offering to come stay with the dog until it’s owner’s returned so that we wouldn’t miss our dinner reservations. My only gripe is that we didn’t stay long enough/have clear enough weather to utilize the bbq or fire pit (next time, for sure!)”

Everything is brand new and well cared for. The house is sparkly clean. Absolutely perfect for medium sized groups with spacious bedrooms, modern bathrooms and lovely gathering places.
