“This home was impeccable! To be frank, I am mildly germaphobic so vacations in hotels/rentals often mean I can never feel 100% comfortable, but this place was SO well kept. It was the most relaxed I've ever been. We had a short trip and wish we could have stayed longer. They seemed to have thought of everything and the place was fully stocked. I really appreciated the welcome book had everything we needed to know about how to use everything. The owners are fantastic and we could not recommend this place enough!”

“This is our second time at Lori and Todd’s. They’re really responsive and helpful. The house is in a very convenient location. It’s about a 2 minute drive to Rosario Resort or Moran State Park, and 10 minutes from town. We even walked to Rosario Resort; it’s about 10 minutes down and 15 minutes back. We took advantage of the hot tub and ping pong/pool table every day. This was so much fun! We cooked one night and had everything we needed. There were good staples like spices, condiments, and (nice) salt and pepper. We’d hoped for tin foil and Seran wrap but made do. The upstairs bedroom has a king size bed, and it was really comfortable. If you stay in the winter, I recommend turning on the heat downstairs when you arrive to heat it up. We’ve been coming to Orcas for years and hope that Lori and Todd’s place can be a tradition for us. Highly recommend.”

“If you are able, I highly recommend Todd & Lori's place! It is in a beautiful location and the house itself is gorgeous. The beds were comfy and the style of the home was really wonderful. I was so impressed with the fully-equipped kitchen--everything you need to cook and we did for most of the week. The hot tub was divine, especially as the evenings were getting chilly. We did not have cell phone service at the house (ATT and Verizon), but we had wifi enabled calling on our phones, so it was not a problem.”

“Todd & Lori's place is wonderful for a quiet getaway. The house has everything you could want. The bed was very comfortable, the hot tub was relaxing, the kitchen was well-stocked, wifi worked well, there were some extras for our pup, which made us feel at home. Plenty of space, even if we had a couple more (ie fits 4 comfortably). It's close to town, but still very private. Just a short drive to the state park and many great hikes. Todd & Lori are quick and clear communicators, made us feel very welcome, and had lots of good tips. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Todd & Lori’s place is absolutely perfect. The house is private, cozy, and full of amenities and thoughtful touches. It was pretty cold and rainy during our stay so we loved cooking in the well stocked kitchen, relaxing in the hot tub, and watching movies/ playing games that we brought from home. The king bed is very comfortable (we didn’t use the second bedroom) and the towels are soft. The master bath is so roomy and the tub is a luxury. The location is very convenient to the corner market and a short walk or drive to downtown Eastsound. We didn’t want to come home at the end of our stay here!”

The house is beautiful and is so well appointed, from the furnishings to amenities, bedding, coffee makers, etc. Everything has been thought through, including puzzles for us to do and our kids loved playing foos ball. We enjoyed the hot tub, relaxed on the deck, and were happy to come home from an adventurous day to such a lovely and relaxing view. It was close enough to Eastsound and just minutes from Moran State park, so great hikes are very close. Only about 15 minutes to Doe Bay as well. We highly recommend staying in this home!”

“We had a wonderful stay at Todd and Lori’s place! The place was clean, spacious, and close to all of our adventures. We also appreciated all of the nice touches like the espresso machine and Bluetooth speakers. Even better was that the mattress on the master bed was ridiculously comfortable! :) While this place definitely isn’t marketed for little kids, we had our toddler along and the space worked out great! The lack of stairs was a big plus and we were able to fit our pack n play in the second bedroom next to the closet. We also brought along a booster seat that fit nicely on both the indoor and outdoor chairs. For toddlers or babies, I recommend that future guests may want to bring along some outlet covers since there are quite a few low outlets and some with lights to make them even more attractive! We thankfully didn’t have an issue with our toddler though. There was also plenty of outdoor space to play. We played in the driveway and our toddler loved “hiking” the paths in the backyard. Thank you, Todd and Lori, for the wonderful accommodations on our family vacation!”

“We have been coming to Orcas Island for 15 years and I have to say this is the best rental we have ever stayed in. We rent VRBO properties all over the country and the owners of this home have truly gone above and beyond even in comparison to some of the nicest rental homes we have ever stayed in. No detail was forgotten ranging from bedding and treats for the dogs, Bluetooth speaker systems for music, miscellaneous items to be used for hiking and adventures, beautiful bedding, kitchen supplies and cookware, games and puzzles, and on and on. The home has a beautiful deck, grill and hot tub and we enjoyed our evenings on the deck watching the resident deer come by. The house was also impeccably clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed being close to Rosario Resort too. The house is on a bit of a busier main road that heads down to Rosario (which we knew about and were fine with), but just something good to know if you haven't stayed in the area before. The house is still private and quiet though! We would stay there again in a heartbeat!”

Our group has traveled around the world and we’ve never stayed at a place that was so well appointed- the kitchen is a chefs dream, with everything you could possibly need. There’s electrical outlets everywhere for electronics. The hooks in the bathrooms for wet clothes (hot tub) or towels. All of the goodies for dogs (food/water trays, covers for the furniture, etc). They’ve really thought of it all. Plus the entertainment features from TV’s with Netflix, board games, cards, a hot tub, music speakers throughout, a great deck for meals, and open floor plan living/dining/kitchen. The location was perfect for anyone looking to enjoy Moran State Park. We hiked daily and loved the location! We found a watering hole less than half a mile away (only required walking on the main road, Rosario, for ~200 meters). The largest town, Eastsound, is less than 10 minutes away and the ferry is about 25 minutes. I could go on and on. The hosts are amazing, helpful, and quick to respond. The house is awesome. The location is great. Orcas Island is gorgeous. Orcas Island Getaway is truly an amazing place to stay!”

Their communication was helpful and prompt without being overbearing. I always love code access doors and never having to meet the hosts (unless an issue arises). We also had our dog with us, and I loved how accommodating the place was for him as well- while we brought all of what he needed with us, just to see that they had a dog bed and bowls, and extra dog sheets and couch covers - it was really nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The view of the sound peeking through the trees was lovely. Many deer and rabbits graced the areas next to the house. They seemed to have thought of everything! I hope we get to come back to Orcas Island soon, and I would not hesitate to stay at Todd and Lori's again, it was a fantastic experience!”

The views might have helped, but seriously, they left nothing wanting. The house is stocked as your own home might be, which allowed us to relax and start enjoying our vacation from the second we walked in the door. The linens are clean and fresh, the towels soft and plush, the carpets, furniture and floors clean and comfortable, the bed - SO comfortable! The quality of items in the home is great, like even having new vacuums so we could keep the place clean to our liking while there. The views - so beautiful and relaxing. With a home like this, I hope future guests continue to treat it with care as we did our best to, because we want to come back :) In addition to a perfect home to stay in, Todd and Lori are very quick and responsive to anything that comes up. We had a little glitch with the door code on arrival, but it only took 2 minutes to call and resolve with Todd. Then, when we decided somewhat last minute to ask about extending our stay by another day, we received a reply in under 5 minutes to our inquiry and set up the extra day quickly and with ease. If you are wondering about location, this was my personal favorite location based on previous stays on the island. We took advantage of the proximity to Moran State Park and went on daily hikes and my husband mountain biked some trails he has been wanting to do for a long time. It’s also close to some other hiking gems, like Obstruction Pass, and conveniently close to East Sound and all sorts of other restaurant options at nearby resorts. We will definitely be back to stay at Orcas Island Getaway, hopefully sooner than later. :-)”

“Todd & Lori's place is a beautiful oasis on Orcas Island. The house is just as the pictures show, and the hot tub is a perfect treat in the winter. The house is right by the state park, which was great for us as we brought our doggo with us. Speaking of dogs, Todd & Lori were extremely accommodating for our dog-- including providing a dog bed, a few toys, dog bowls, and more. All in all, we had an amazing time and definitely can't wait to go back.”

“The house is very new (about 1 year old, as far as I could tell), so everything works and is well though-out. My kids loved the sound bar in the kitchen, playing pool and ping pong in the basement, and using the hot tub. They also really liked the color changing LED lights in the bedrooms.
The house is well-appointed, as well, with plenty of dishes, pots, towels, etc. - everything you need.
The location is also great - I was able to walk my dog to the State Park each morning. The grocery store and restaurants in Eastsound are just 15 minutes away.
My only complaint is that there was lots of snow while we were there and the road to Mt. Constitution was closed. I love watching the sunset from up there...”

“Our family stayed in this gorgeous home in December 2018, just before Christmas. It was Christmas gift to our two adult children. We were able to bring our dog, Churro, too! What a spectacular home with amazing amenities in a perfect location. I can’t rave enough about our wonderful experience. But I will try. First, the check-in process was smooth and professional. Todd and Lori send you everything you need to access the home and all that it offers on check-in day. Easy apps with maps and easy remote door entry. A wonderful welcome book to guide you through your stay. The home was impeccably clean. King size beds, comfortable mattresses, hotel like linens, three bathrooms and an outfitted kitchen to accommodate cooking needs. Stuff for doggies too! It’s an island so WiFi can be tricky but Todd and Lori were easy to reach for troubleshooting. We also experienced a four hour power outage due to a storm but there are flashlights and cozy blankets so we cozied up and played games until the power came back on. Note and super-tip: Moran Mansion at Rosario never loses power. And it’s just down the hill from Rosario getaway, so if you need heat or a warm meal it’s very convenient! Power outages are not uncommon on the island during the stormy season. The hot tub is delightful. Not too far from town, good food and wonderful restaurants and shops. The home is private with a beautiful peek-a-boo view. So now for the best and final part, the home is in Rosario Resort which is close to Moran State Park. There are many hikes to enjoy, a beautiful lake and waterfalls. It’s the destination spot for Mount Constitution with the most amazing views of Canada and surrounding mountains. Breathtaking! the best Airbnb experience for us so far! Don’t miss out on gorgeous orcas island and the modern, comfortable and classy Rosario Getaway.”
