“This place was amazing. The views from the deck and the hot tub are breathtaking. The place provided all the amenities you’ll need plus some extras like the espresso machine, Bluetooth speaker and sound bar, fun games, etc. It is about 10 minutes to downtown fun shops and places to eat/drink, seemed like the perfect location for us. Tom & Lori were great with communication and check in/ check out was a breeze. Would definitely book this property again, perfect little getaway in a beautiful home.”

“Conveniently located, roomy, clean. Had all the necessary essentials, plus. The “plus”: espresso machine, pool table, ping pong table, hot tub, gate for deck if you bring dogs or kids, sheet to protect beds if your dog sleeps there with you, sharp kitchen knives. While the main heaters were out while we were there, additional infrared heaters were supplied that were adequate. TV was a little challenging, but we eventually figured that out. The other challenge we found were the lack of tall reading lights next to the bed. While bright lights were there, they weren’t tall enough to shine down on a book. It was a good place for multiple couples with the 3 king size bedrooms.”

“We had a nice family stay at Todd and Lori's house. The house and amenities were great - kitchen is well-stocked and plenty of games/books for the family. The heating systems in the common areas are currently down but they had a large portable heater that you can use in the meantime. Good central location to both Eastsound and Olga but in a very quiet and remote setting so you have plenty of privacy.”

“This is our second time staying at one of Todd and Lori's properties. Just like last year, it was awesome! The house is sparkling clean, it has everything you need and more to make meals and stay entertained if you decide not to go out. The hot tub is clean and has a beautiful view. The house is located near Rosario where it's very peaceful. Todd and Lori are very easy to communicate with and respond quickly to questions. I highly recommend any of their properties to other travelers.”

“Todd & Lori's place was beautiful! Location is excellent, conveniently close to Eastsound. Backyard and hot tub was private. They have a small, gated deck and yard where our dog could conveniently go out (they also have a larger portion of the backyard with trees and the hot tub). The house was tastefully decorated and has everything you need. Main bedroom has a king size bed with a great mattress on the firmer side (which I loved). Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat!”

“The stay was absolutely incredible. The house is even better in person, perfect location to check out the island and Eastsound, magnificent tub, comfy beds, new appliances, incredibly clean! We truly didn’t have a single complaint. The house is private and secluded, but also quite literally down the street from all of the restaurants, coffee, books etc you could need. We fell completely in love with orcas and loved our stay here. Already planning a trip back it was that nice. Thank you endlessly for the hospitality and we hope to return soon! :)”

“We had an amazing time at Todd and Loris place with a group of our friends, kids, and dogs. The house is very well equipped with everything you need (kitchen is well stocked). The house feels very new and clean with amazing indoor spaces and deck with hot tub. Location is good about 10 min to eastsound and super close to Rosario resort (great spot to have a nice dinner). The sheets on the bed are so soft and the beds are super comfy!
Would definitely look forward to staying again!”

“This was an absolutely amazing place to stay in . Loved the location. Steps away from the gorgeous hikes in Moran state park and the beautiful Cascade lake. The large glass windows offered us splendid views of the sunrise over the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare gourmet meals. The rooms were beautifully decorated with the smallest details taken care of. The hot tub was just perfect t to relax in after the uphill hikes. The hosts Todd and Lori were so helpful and warm and patiently answered all of our questions. We loved our stay and hope to come back again sometime.”

“This was such a great house, plenty of space for a family or a couples trip. Beds were very comfy. Loved the hot tub after a day of hiking. Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking meals (which we did each night). Showers were nice, and there’s a soaking tub in the bathroom downstairs. Wish we were able to stay longer!”

“We had a wonderful time on Orcas Island at this vacation rental! Our trip included my husband, me, our two kids (ages 8 and 9), and our German Shepherd. The home was very clean and spacious. It’s also located right next to Moran State Park and only about 15 minutes outside of Eastsound Village. The kitchen included all the equipment you’d need for basic cooking, plus oils and seasoning . We really appreciated having such a clean, pet-friendly home for vacation”

“This is a wonderful home to stay on Orcas Island. We really loved the location, the home was spotless and very welcoming with lots of cool amenities. We particularly loved the upstairs bedroom/bath being so separated from the lower beds and bath. They have a hot tub, but the weather was pretty rainy while we were there, so didn't get to use that. Anyway, great home, great location and would definitely stay here again..

The automatic timer set to give you access at check-in time was a tiny bit inconvenient as I showed up 30 minutes early and had to kill some time with groceries in the car but not a huge deal. Just plan accordingly! I’ll be back for sure.”

“Todd and Lori are fantastic, and this was a great place to stay. We really enjoyed being able to walk into town. The central location made it easy to get anywhere.
Todd and Lori pay attention to the details. The sheets were soft, the mattresses perfect, and the knives sharp. They provided a handy webpage with all of the details of our stay and useful links. Their guidebook with hikes included their own thoughts on each one. And they were super responsive to all of my messages.
I've stayed at quite a few vacation rentals, and this was by far the best experience I've had.”

The host took a lot of time to prepare a guest book on the Airbnb app and in their home to provide descriptions of hikes and things to do as well as instructions on how to use all the amenities. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, the location was great. Crescent Beach is a short walk and we rented kayaks there. It’s only 5 min from town. There was a great craft cocktail bar called The Barnacle and excellent restaurant call Madrona Bar and Grill. I would recommend a staying here.”

“It was a beautiful, clean home. It provided all the kitchen amenities., but we were sad that the electricity and insulation was not up to par. We stayed downstairs and could hear every footstep upstairs. The outlets in the bathrooms did not work. Also, while we were getting ready for our wedding the power went out in the downstairs and upstairs room and utility room. That made it very stressful because we didn’t plan to look for outlets that worked.”

“Excellent location. Close to Moran state park, the Rosario Mansion restaurant and "downtown" Eastsound. Easy drives to a number of great hikes and stunning views. The space itself is excellent and they provide a custom guidebook for you as a guest. Beds are firm, but not uncomfortable. The grill and hot tub are easy to use. The pool table setup can get a little cramped around the stairs and chairs, but I am being super nit picky haha. Overall this was one of the nicest Airbnb's I've had the pleasure of staying at. My wife and I had a blast and cannot recommend these hosts enough.”

“Location, location, location: 5 minutes to Cascade Lake for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking; 5 minutes to Rosario Resort for fine and casual dining/cocktails; 10 minutes to Eastsound for groceries, shopping, Brown Bear Baking (a must!) and other great dining options; 10 minutes to outstanding fresh oysters and more at Buck Bay; 15 minutes to the top of Mt. Constitution for BEST view in the San Juans; AND 5 seconds to wonderful hot tub after a day full of outdoor adventures. You'll love the house and layout that allows quiet and noisy activities to be on different floors. We didn't bring our dog this time around, but she would have been very happy here with all the thoughtful extras.”

The house itself is beautiful: spacious, beautiful views of the woods and water, spacious, and clean. It had all of the basic amenities you could need. Check in and out were a breeze and Todd and Lori were easy to communicate with. I really appreciated the thorough information they gave us about the house and the surrounding area! It was a 2 min drive to Moran State Park which had excellent hiking and scenic views, a 10 min drive to downtown Eastsound which had numerous restaurants, shops, two markets, and even a winery. And about a 12 minute drive to local whale watching ports. Definitely a great location if you want things to do but also enjoy leisurely pace. Highly recommend you check out Todd & Lori’s place!”

It has a large parking space which was great for our big truck. The yard was beautiful and peaceful. Everything was really clean and simple. The public part of West Beach was only a 10 minute walk (albeit on a country road with no sidewalks but very few cars so no big deal for us…otherwise, it’s a 2 minute drive). If we had to nit pick, we wish the kitchen was a little more robust (in terms of platters, bowls, and condiments especially sugar for coffee). Otherwise, it’s a modern, lovely house in a peaceful forest on the west side of orcas!”

There’s so many well-thought-out details such as a powder room in addition to a full bath on the main floor with two private king sized beds in the bedrooms downstairs. We enjoyed the hot tub, a large deck for stretching in the morning, a well-equipped kitchen for shared meals, and a great hangout space for after dinner games. The location is excellent with close access to both Moranz State Park and Rosario Redort. We only wished we could’ve stayed longer as it was not nearly enough time for all the activities we wish to enjoy. Todd and Laurie were excellent hosts with easy communication, easy check in, and a quick response when we contacted them. Highly recommend.”

Todd and Lori’s place was the absolute perfect location for our wedding prep, and a relaxing and romantic spot to unwind and reconnect after the big day. It is conveniently located, the view from the interior and on the balcony is just indescribably gorgeous, and the home has all of the amenities along with being beautifully designed and extremely clean and comfortable. We (With permission from the host of course) had some perfect before and after wedding photos taken before our ceremony at Moran State Park (Just down the road!) that turned out better than we could have ever dreamed thanks to the modern and romantic layout and decor of the home. On top of that the home was super dog friendly and accommodated our pups just as well as it did us. “We had a nice stay at the place. But the overall feeling is a bit marred by the lengthy and lawyer speak *book* (via a website) of instructions after booking. Then at checkin the curt 'read the book' or 'are you sure there's a problem' style responses. For example - when we didn't recall the 9 digit door code wasn't the same as the 4 digit website password. Or when we raised that the hot tub heater wasn't working (water sensor showed 68 degrees). Afterwards it took the hot tub another two nights to heat so we could use it on our final 3rd night. In the place itself - lack of any basics like aluminum foil, seran wrap, or even 4 bath towels for 3 guests - seemed like not a lot of personal love is given. The hot tub wasn't a big thing for us, nor kitchen basis (market nearby) but the lack of follow up during our stay, or a simple 'how's it going' made this stay feel a lot more like a company churning out a profit than someone having their soul into the project”

The kitchen pretty much has everything you need - espresso maker, coffee beans grinder, foil, slow cooker, spices, etc. The best part: sharp kitchen knives. I repeat, sharp kitchen knives in an Airbnb (gasp). The backyard is flat and completely fenced in. My dogs loved running around in the back. There is also a fire pit and outdoor dining seat. The mattress was super comfortable and it was really nice to be able to watch TV and relax at night. The ping pong table was also great to have. It’s a short drive to downtown Eastsound and convenient to get to other places on the island as well. Great place - highly recommend!”

“This property is the real deal, and the hosts are incredible. When we walked in, we were amazed by how clean it was—immaculate. There are thoughtful touches throughout the house including touch-activated bedside lamps, an extra HDMI cord for bringing your own video game system or Apple TV, portable Bluetooth speaker for the outside deck, laundry baskets, and more. The welcome book includes all the information you might need, and lists several great hikes nearby with the hosts' tips. The beds are super comfortable. It's so quiet at night—we slept great. The kitchen has everything you might need, and there's a bonus Starbucks espresso machine, too! The best part of this property are the hosts who are surprisingly responsive, kind, and reasonable. They respect social distancing during the pandemic and were respectful throughout our communications. Our group is looking for more properties owned by these hosts—they're that good.”

“Great house in a great location. Minutes from Moran State Park. Todd and Lori are super responsive and have made a comfortable home base space for exploring the island. Given Covid limitations for dining we ended up cooking a lot so appreciated the full set of pans, mixing bowls, utensils, crock pot, mixer, etc. Market on island is great and 10 minute drive so you can get whatever they don’t have. Everything is where you expect it to be and the view and outdoor deck are lovely. They supply lots of games and puzzles and a ginormous TV. I was impressed by the comfortable couches and beds (which a lot of Airbnb’s miss the boat on). It’s nearly silent (at least in winter) so great sleep. We liked that there was a separate floor for our two teens who could stay up late watching tv without bugging us. If you have toddler age you’d want a baby gate for the stairs. Gravel driveway is quite steep but that is made clear and we had no problem with truck in low gear (except during snowpocalypse days!). Only bummer is inconsistent up/down weak internet and no cell service with AT&T but that may be island issue(?). Only one of us could get wi-if calling to work and that also went up/down. Just keep in mind that four people can’t stream at same time like you do at home. Great place to unplug.”

“Exactly as described and perfect for a break from the past year. The kitchen was truly stocked in terms of tools. The only things I busted out of my cache were bench scrapers, a spatula (because it's my favorite one), and tongs (I needed two pairs for some meals). I was able to bake and cook to my heart's content for 5 days. The yard was too muddy for our dainty dog to sprint around it, but it was great for him to be able to pop outside whenever he wanted safely because of the fence around the entire yard. WFH is possible, but since it's 4G, I wouldn't recommend more than 1 person on a video call. Lori and Todd were very upfront about internet availability and that helped us plan accordingly. Favoriting this place for our future winter escapes from Seattle!”

Due to Covid restriction the check out is 9am. They turn the house over in 7 hours between guests, including having cleaners in. I didn’t realize this at booking, my error. It was disappointing to get up in the 7 o’clock hour on vacation to get our teens up and deal with the checkout todo list. It was also raining and the next ferry wasn’t until 1pm so we grabbed pastries and coffee at the bakery and ate in our car. Then just drove around for hours, since most places are closed due to the pandemic. Thankfully the island and views were still beautiful.”
