“This was the perfect house for our family holiday celebration! The house is completely stocked with all you need to make your stay comfortable - well-furnished bedrooms with comfy king-sized beds, a game room area with a pool table and ping pong - a big hit with the kids, cooking essentials, coffee makers (yes, more than 1!), waffle iron, and more. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out and there was also plenty of room for us to all come together for meals and hangouts. The proximity to hiking was fabulous and we had a great time exploring the island as a family. We can't wait to come back in the Spring or Summer to see more of the island!”

“What a warm, cozy, right-in-the-center-of-town place to stay! We were barely five minutes from the town center so that made it easy to get groceries or find restaurants with really good food. The hosts were extremely thoughtful, having all sorts of conveniences around the house like extra blankets and an air mattress and even a small backpack in case you needed one! They responded very promptly to every message I sent, even when I sent one without stopping to think that it was Thanksgiving night. The house was very clean and roomy and comfortable, with all modern updates. I would not hesitate to stay at any of their homes in the future. Thank you, Lori and Todd!”

The house is modern, clean, and well stocked in the kitchen and bedrooms. We had a little difficulty keeping the hot tub at the right temperature, but that may have been user error. We also noted that when the heaters switch on and off in the night, it is a bit loud and we often woke. These items aside, I would highly recommend this rental and my kids already want to come back!”

“We had a pleasant stay at this home—it was a good home base for exploring the island all day. The hosts were very quick to respond to a couple questions we had. Our kids, 8 and 11, loved that they could walk the dog to the lake by themselves and explore. Overall, it was an easy stay.”

“We really enjoyed our first trip to Orcas at Todd & Lori’s. They were very communicative, the home is very close to town and it was a perfect setting to relax and enjoy a convenient homebase. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make a meal in, and grilled some great steaks on the barbecue and enjoyed eating on the deck. The hot tub Was really nice to enjoy with all the beautiful trees surrounding it. It’s always nice to find hosts that welcome your four-legged family members the way Todd and Lori did. While we brought our own dog bed our Opie certainly enjoyed borrowing the one they have there too!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Todd and Lori’s place. Everything down to the candles in each of the bedrooms and the lovely welcome note and gift was thought of. You will want for nothing in this house. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and if you like to cook or grill, you are in for a treat! The fully fenced yard is HUGE and our pups loved it. The deck offered a gorgeous view of the water and the beautiful flowers that adorned the property were an added bonus. The house is also in a quiet area and very private, though if you’re lucky enough to meet the neighbor Erika (she comes over twice a week to water the flowers in the yard), she is a joy to chat with. We had a great stay and I highly recommended this property!”

“We truly had a great time. The space and amenities suited us perfectly. Foosball is our new favorite thing! We walked from the house through the State Park to swim in the lake. Ate beautiful food on the deck. Played some hilarious mini-golf. Took some great hikes. Kayaked. All fantastic. Thanks so much!”

“This property has quality furnishings that are maintained perfectly. It is so clean. We had grandparents on the main floor and a family of 4 on the bottom level. We had fun while using the ping pong table, pool table, pickleball, games and hot tub. It was easy to get to main street, hiking, the alpaca farm, Buck park for pickle ball, miniature golf, paddle boating and swimming in Cascade Lake. My cons: It is a modern home with no curtains except the bedrooms. The main level bedroom doesn't have a total curtain. There is at least 2 feet not covered on top so light comes through before 6 am. My preference is a full curtain. The beds are very comfortable. My suggestion would be to have a king sized cotton blanket in each room. The comforter on the main level was way too hot. We stayed in August but it was uncomfortable and the sheet alone wasn't enough. A bath towel and swim towel are provided for each guest. My adult daughter wanted an additional towel for her hair. An extra towel or two would be nice. We played games at the coffee table because the other table was too large. It would be nice to have one or two footstools or poufs for the kids to sit on. I gave this property 5 stars because it is really exceptional.”

“Beautiful and clean home close to Eastsound but just far enough away to avoid all the tourist traffic. We traveled with pets and they had a bed, bowls and an entire basket of blankets and sheets for pups to use. Beds were INCREDIBLY comfortable and the master shower was so cool as it included a Bluetooth speaker! Huge smart tv and comfy all around! We would love to stay again!”

“I’ve stayed many places on Orcas and this stay was my favorite. The home is nicely appointed. Very lovely garden and surroundings area. Very comfortable beds and great bathrooms. Chef’s kitchen has everything you need. Todd and Lori’s were responsive and great hosts. Really best stay in a beautiful home.”

“The house was in a great location near Moran State Park. Lots of beautiful hiking trails and lake nearby. The house was clean and just as advertised. The hosts were very responsive and flexible with check in. All the bedrooms were comfortable and kitchen was well outfitted. The hot tub was a favorite of our kids. It was in great condition and kept very clean. We saw lots of deer and other wildlife right around the house everyday.”

Spotlessly clean, equipped with everything we could possibly need (including treats and toys for our dog), extremely comfortable, in the perfect location, and with stunning views. We were able to walk to Cascade Lake every day, take a quick and easy drive into Eastsound, prepare dinners for 12+ people in the spacious and well-equipped kitchens, and relax in the hot tub every evening. Todd & Lori were incredibly helpful and responsive, responding right away to all my questions even before we booked the homes a full year out. If you are looking to rent both homes together, note that they are approx. 200 m. apart across one road and up/down one steep driveway--it was easy to walk between them. These homes were exactly what we were looking for and truly made the whole trip amazing!”

We love the quality of finishes, for example the set of knives. I usually travel with my own set and was pleased to see that it was not needed. Thanks for being such great hosts!”

“We stayed a week while our daughter attended Camp Orkila. We could not have asked for a clean home to share with another family. The kitchen was well-stocked with basics and utensils. It was nice to see that they left the cabinets stocked with basic ingredients that renters have left behind. The hot tub and grill were clean. Very easy transition from home to a week away. “I was a little nervous when we first arrived. I didn’t realize it was so close to other neighbors, but when we opened the door, all my concerns disappeared. This is a lovely house, well taken care of and very comfortable. As soon as we settled in, we felt at home and away from the big city. The property is close to town but not too close. The hot tub was great. Beds were comfortable, nice linens. All the details were taken care of. Thank you for a great get away.”

“Very dog friendly, and quiet. Excellent location to rest and recharge. We used it as a launch point to explore the several state parks on Orcas and the surrounding Islands. It's close to Eastsound which has all the necessities you'll need, but still has a secluded feel. We enjoyed our stay.”

“Todd & Lori’s place is fantastic- great location, very well appointed (they even have dog bowls for the pups)! We had a fantastic time. The only negative I think worth mentioning is check-out. Check out is at 10am, sharp and the locks automatically change, so if you’re even a minute late, you’re screwed. This almost became an issue when I was packing the car at 10am and the door closed with my four year old alone inside and then locked me out. I had no way of getting in - luckily my 4 year old was able to open the door from the inside, but this would have been a very tricky situation had my 2 year old been the one inside alone or my dog. This should be made more apparent to guests so they can plan accordingly.”

We came with 2 golden retrievers, and it was really nice to have some practical amenities for them as well. The kitchen was well stocked with any tool you may need, and the pool table and hot tub were a nice way to relax after a long hike less than 5 minutes away. Thank you for a really nice weekend. “We took a few days with our dog to get some R &R from the bustle on the mainland. Todd and Lori’s place was exactly what we needed! Peaceful, relaxing and close to Eastsound, Moran State Park, and the north shore. Siren especially appreciated the off-leash dog park a two minute drive away. There is a nicely stocked convenience store just around the corner, and you’re only a short drive from the grocery store in town. The property is located in a small, quiet neighborhood. The forested surroundings, illuminated beautifully with cleverly placed uplighting after dark, provide a very private setting for relaxing on the deck, around the fire pit, or in the hot tub. There are plenty of personal touches and the home is well stocked with the essentials you’ll need…and then some…for us and our dog. Todd and Lori are ideal hosts. Communication is top notch and the guide they provide is excellent for planning your island activities. Book this stay without hesitation!”

The floor plan is open and inviting, kitchen was well stocked, fun pool table, and hot tub (which we did not use but I am sure would’ve been great.)
