Hot tub.
A few things to know, and the steps for running the hot tub and keeping the water in good shape during your stay.

Temperature
Please keep the temperature set to 102°F when not in use. If you’d like it warmer or cooler, adjust it about an hour before you get in, and leave the cover on. Press the temp up or down button until you see the temperature you want.
Before each use
- Remove the cover. Unsnap the metal buttons from the flap of the hot tub cover. Flip the cover over the hot tub lift arm toward the back of the hot tub, then gently tilt the cover over on the lift (helpful if one person is on each side).
- Check the water. Make sure the hot tub water quality is in good condition.
- Spa water is kept at over 100°F, which is why chemical sanitizers (bromine, clarifier and so on) are needed. It’s normal for hot tubs to have some chemical smell, and adding too much can cause issues too.
- Please rinse off in the shower before you get in, especially if you’ve been out on the island’s hiking trails. Oils, dirt and sweat can affect the water quickly.
- Turn on the jets, and the light if you’d like.
- The hot tub has 2 jet settings. Press the “Jet” button once for low, and a second time for high.
- There are 2 airflow valves on each side of the waterfall. They let you mix more or less air into the jets.
- There is also a waterfall. Make sure the air valves and the waterfall are off before you put the cover back on.
After each use
Important
Hot tubs need sanitizer tablets added after every use to keep the chemicals balanced and the filtration working. A bottle of “Renew” tablets is near the hot tub on the deck.
- Place 2 or 3 tablets in the water.
- Run the jets on high for about 10 minutes with the cover off.
- Once the jets have run for about 10 minutes, turn them off, put the cover back on and secure the snaps.
Before you close the cover, make sure that:
- Jets are off
- Waterfall is off
- LED lighting is off
- Air valves are closed
- Keep the blue floater in the hot tub. That holds the long-release sanitizer tabs.
